Demobilize from Work Area - Slips/Trips/Falls <br />- Handling heavy objects <br />- Pinch Points <br />- Sharp objects <br />1. Watch where you walk, be aware of uneven terrain, where <br />boots with adequate tread and a raised heel. Clear pathways of <br />tools, materials, vegetation, etc. <br />2. Use proper lifting techniques when moving trencher or lifting <br />silt fence. Do not lift more than 50 lbs. without using the "buddy <br />system" or mechanical means. Lift with your legs and not your <br />back, keep a firm grip, keep the load in close to your body, do <br />not over reach or extend while lifting. Stop if you cannot <br />manually lift the load in a safe manner. <br />3. Do not place your hands, head or body between objects that <br />could cause pinching or crushing. <br />4. Be aware of sharp edges on tools, material and equipment <br />during removal, be aware of sharp objects in tool boxes and <br />bins.
