Ensure that fugitive dust is controlled by watering surfaces. <br />2. Wear long sleeve shirt, use sunblock with adequate level of <br />SPF/UV Protection, operate beneath or within rollover <br />protection cage. <br />M <br />Use water to control dust and add moisture to soil for adequate compaction. <br />4. Transporting Onsite - Being struck by equipment or materials <br />within the work area <br />- Cross Traffic <br />- Earthmoving equipment (dozers, graders, <br />excavators, trenchers, rollers, compactors, <br />backhoe, skip loader) <br />- Overhead obstacles (power lines or <br />pipelines, block and tackle, lights, structures) <br />- Pinch Points <br />- Sprains and Strains <br />- Struck by Vehicle <br />1. Ensure that low-loader or trailer has suitable ramps to allow <br />safe loading. <br />2. Minimize slope by parking truck on level or surfaces. <br />3. Drive slowly when loading or unloading roller from trailer or <br />low loader. <br />4. Restrain roller from movement by use of tie down chains and <br />chocks. <br />5. When loading equipment, ensure to use spotters and qualified <br />traffic control. <br />6. When loading/unloading, ensure that all overheads are <br />identified and that loading/unloading does not occur beneath <br />overhead utilities or obstructions. <br />7.
