Site Set-up Tasks Specifically <br />for COVID-19 <br />- Biological Hazards <br />- Improper PPE <br />- Slips/Trips/Falls <br />- Struck by incidents <br />- Sunshine (UV radiation) <br />- Uneven Terrain <br />- Unauthorized Entry <br />1. Depending on time of year be aware of flying and/or stinging <br />insects such as bees, wasps, hornet and yellow jackets. Visually <br />scan areas and stay clear of nests, or vegetation where insects <br />are usually found. <br />2. Don modified level D PPE which includes: Hardhat; Safety <br />Glasses; N-95 or Cloth Face Covering; High Visibility Traffic <br />Vest, Steel Toe Boot/Shoes; Level III Cut Resistant Work Gloves; <br />Disposable Nitrile Gloves; Face shield; Goggles; Chemical <br />Resistant Gloves. <br />3. Visually scan ground surfaces for hazards prior to set up, do <br />not step into holes, avoid slippery surfaces, do not take <br />backward steps, lift feet high when walking, do not leave tools <br />materials or equipment on the ground, wear boots with <br />adequate tread and a raised heel. <br />4. Avoid setting up in high traffic areas, use <br />cones/barricades/delineators/temp fence and signage to protect <br />yourself from vehicle or equipment traffic, use your work vehicle <br />as a barrier between yourself and traffic, do not work with your <br />back toward traffic, use a spotter. <br />5. Apply sunscreen when working outdoors, take periodic <br />breaks, follow guidelines in the site-specific Health and Safety <br />Plan for Heat Illness Prevention. <br />6. Avoid walking over uneven terrain, choose a path that is flat <br />and with the least amount of undulation, bumps or hazards, <br />wear boots with adequate tread and a raised heel. <br />7.
