Before performing the lift verify that all lifting equipment and <br />rigging accessories are current with all Regulatory Standard <br />inspection requirements. <br />2. Forklift attachments utilized in hoisting activities are required <br />to meet the requirements found in OSHA 1910.178(a). <br />3. Follow the requirements of procedure “Hoisting and Rigging <br />Program.” <br />4. Verify that all required forms or checklists have been <br />completed prior to performing any lifting activities. <br />5. Before performing lift verify that non-crane-type heavy <br />equipment (examples: excavator, forklift, frontend loader, etc.) is <br />approved and rated by the equipment manufacturer for <br />performing lifts. <br />6.
