Demobilize trailers - Fall Hazard <br />- Crushing Hazard <br />- Sprains and Strains <br />- Electric shock <br />1. Workers on roof will follow fall protection plan with fall <br />protection harness and safety lines, or use of markers and <br />observers (leading edge protection). The three point rule will be <br />observed while working on a ladder. All extension ladders will <br />be tied off. Step ladders will be opened <br />2. Only personnel familiar with the process will be involved in <br />the work. Personnel will avoid being under the trailers while <br />they are being jacked apart or raised. <br />3. Movers tools will be used (hand carts, wheel platforms, etc) <br />will be used to move furniture. Personnel will work in teams to <br />remove furnishings. Personnel will wear protective gloves while <br />moving furniture. <br />4. All electrical disconnects will be made by a qualified <br />electrician. All electrical boxes will have covers returned. Where <br />re-energization could expose personnel to hazards, the <br />disconnect will be locked open or otherwise disabled (e.g. <br />removal of the connector from the lugs.) Allow only qualified <br />electricians to disconnect electrical circuits. Follow lock-out/tag- <br />out protocols. Inspect all extension cords daily for structural <br />integrity, ground continuity, and damaged areas. Document <br />extension cord inspection. Grounding rods will be removed if <br />protruding from the ground. If a generator is used, be sure it is <br />a type that does not require grounding. If it requires grounding, <br />follow manufacturer’s directions. <br />M <br />3. Utilities disconnect - Fall Hazard <br />- Blood Borne Pathogens, Human <br />Derived Waste, Syringes, Animal <br />Excrement <br />1. Disconnecting utilities from overhead exposes personnel to <br />fall hazards. Uses of aerial work platforms or bucket trucks are <br />preferred. Holes, pits, trenches will be backfilled and covered or <br />paved as directed by the site. <br />2. Personnel will wear rubber type gloves while working with <br />sewerage contaminated piping, and will wash their hands <br />afterwards. Lines will be capped to prevent the release of sewer <br />gases and odors. <br />M <br />4. Demob CONNEX boxes - Overloading <br />- Personal Injury <br />1. Empty CONNEX boxes if moving with a forklift or crane <br />unless weights are known. <br />2.
