Pressure Wash UST and <br />Vacuum Wash Water into Truck <br />- High Pressure Spray <br />- Inadequate Tools or Equipment <br />- Hot Surfaces <br />- Flying Debris <br />1. Check connections of high pressure hoses, if pressure washer <br />is trailer mounted use wheel chock on trailer, keep a tight grip <br />on pressure wash gun, do not start pressure washing until spray <br />nozzle is pointed inside the UST, turn pressure washer "off" <br />before removing the wand, do not point tip of wand at people or <br />property. <br />2. Inspect all equipment prior to use and make sure everything <br />is satisfactory. Do not use broken or compromised equipment. <br />3. Do not place hands on or near muffler, hot water burner of <br />pressure and/or metal quick connects on hoses as temperatures <br />exceed 200 degrees F. <br />4. Wear googles and faceshield while washing, never aim wand <br />tip into a corner when washing. <br />M <br />High Pressure Washer <br />5. Perforate Tank with Pneumatic <br />Shear <br />- Fire/Explosion <br />- High Pressure Air <br />- Bodily Injury from Sharp Edges <br />- Pinch Points <br />1. Verify that each tank is completely clean prior to shearing or <br />nibbling any openings. Use a (4) Gas meter to verify LEL levels <br />are less than 5% by volume. <br />2. Always wear safety goggles and face shield with air tools, use <br />the right size hose and fittings, make sure all connections are <br />tight and will not come loose under pressure, use whip checks <br />on air discharge hoses, turn off the air pressure when the <br />system is not being used or when changing pneumatic tool and <br />attachments, bleed off air by gently opening the discharge air <br />valve to atmosphere, do not put your hands/face or body in the <br />line-of-fire of airstream. <br />3. Do not place hands or body where sharp edges or metal burrs <br />are created from shear or nibbler. <br />4.
