<br />16 <br /> <br />3.0 PROJECT ORGANIZATION <br /> <br />3.1 RESPONSIBILITIES <br /> <br />3.1.1 PROJECT MANAGER <br /> <br />Brett Baatrup <br />Responsibilities include coordinating all site activities. The project manager (PM) is responsible <br />for the safety of operations and the health and safety of all personnel. The PM is also responsible <br />for ensuring the project is audited to verify compliance with the project HASP. <br /> <br />3.1.2 HEALTH & SAFETY PREPARER <br /> <br />Terry Dussault <br />Health and Safety Preparer (HSP) is a resource for developing the site-specific HASP and may be <br />consulted on all related health and safety issues that arise in the field. The Project Manager, with <br />the support of the corporate safety officer, will make all final decisions regarding questions on <br />the HASP. <br /> <br />Health and Safety (Tiwana & Sons) <br />Should there be conflicting information in Health and Safety Procedures, ICS, and Tiwana & <br />Sons Will consult with one another and disseminate their agreed-upon resolution to their <br />respective SSOs. <br /> <br />3.1.3 SITE SAFETY OFFICER <br /> <br />Jose Plate <br />The SSO is responsible for the daily implementation and enforcement of this HASP, as well as <br />daily health and safety oversight of Site operations, administration of the respiratory protection <br />program, and safety coordination with subcontractors. Specifically, the SSO will: <br />• Ensure that personnel are aware of the provisions of this HASP and are instructed in work <br />practices, safety, waste management, and emergency procedures. <br />• Establish and maintain site work zones. <br />• Monitor the work area and personal breathing zone to ensure workers comply with <br />established personal protection levels. <br />• Evaluate site conditions (e.g., weather, chemical, physical) and recommend any <br />modifications to existing levels of protection. <br />• Ensure that daily safety briefings are conducted with assistance from the site supervisor <br />under the direction and oversight of Tiwana & Sons SSO. <br />• Initiate emergency response procedures and communicate immediately with the PM.
