<br />5 <br /> <br />to determine if the employee has achieved the required level of performance. <br /> <br />3) Termination - The employee may be terminated if he/she do not improve their <br />performance while on probation, or have violated another company's health and safety <br />policy within twelve months. <br /> <br />IV. Communication of Safety and Health Matters <br /> <br />ICS communicates safety policies through Safety Committees, meetings, training, and <br />memos. Employees may report hazards anonymously and are protected from <br />retaliation. Regular toolbox meetings and written communication help reinforce <br />policies. <br /> <br />The elements of the ICS IIPP and all aspects of its safety and health program shall be <br />communicated in a readily understandable manner to all employees via a <br />Labor/Management Safety and Health Committee. The Labor/Management Safety and <br />The Health Committee will function in compliance with CCR Title 8. The <br />Labor/Management Safety and Health Committee consists of the Health and Safety. <br />Director, the Operations Manager, the Project Manager, the Field Supervisor, and <br />representatives of any subcontractors, if applicable. Membership on the safety and <br />health committee shall be determined in accordance with the applicable collective <br />bargaining agreement or company policy. The Labor/Management Safety and Health <br />Committee shall meet bimonthly. Meetings may be canceled or postponed from time to <br />time. Should this occur, the committee should meet at least quarterly. In addition to its <br />other duties, the committee shall have the following responsibilities: <br /> <br />1) Review ICS periodic scheduled worksite inspection records. <br /> <br />2) Review the ICS investigation of the causes of incidents resulting in injury, illness, or <br />exposure to hazardous substances. <br /> <br />3) Review ICS investigations of alleged hazardous conditions brought to the attention of <br />a committee member. <br /> <br />4) Conduct inspections and investigations when necessary; submit recommendations to <br />Assist in evaluating employee safety suggestions. <br /> <br />5) Verify abatement actions taken by ICS when requested by Cal/OSHA; <br />
