<br />10 <br /> <br />Unsafe or unhealthy work conditions needing corrective action will be <br />documented by using: <br />1) Engineering controls will be used first to eliminate or minimize unsafe or <br />unhealthy work conditions. If engineering controls are impractical or <br />infeasible, administrative controls will be used. If engineering controls <br />alone, or in combination with administrative controls, cannot adequately <br />minimize the hazard, personal protective equipment shall be used. <br />2) Unsafe work practices will be immediately corrected by providing the <br />affected employees with retraining, as directed by the Responsible <br />Person or their designee. <br />3) Operating Procedures will be reviewed at least annually and whenever <br />new chemicals are introduced. Or equipment is introduced into the <br />system, or when a process change occurs. When changes are made, <br />affected employees will receive additional instructions. <br />VIII. Training and Instruction <br /> <br />Training is provided to all employees on general and job-specific hazards, including new <br />equipment and substances. Supervisors receive additional instruction. Safety training is <br />ongoing, including toolbox talks and refreshers. <br /> <br />ICS also trains employees on their right to access the IIPP, free of charge, within five <br />business days of request. Access may be via paper copy or digital format if the employee <br />routinely uses it. <br /> <br /> All employees shall receive training and instruction in the following areas: <br />• General safety and health work practices, and <br />• Specific instructions concerning hazards unique to the job assignment. <br /> <br />Training of employees at ICS to this IIPP shall occur: <br />3) When the program is first established, <br />4) To new employees, <br />3) To employees given a new job assignment for which training has not previously <br />been received <br />4) Whenever new substances, processes, procedures, or equipment are introduced <br />to the workplace and represent a new hazard, and <br />5) Whenever ICS is made aware of a new previously unrecognized hazard.
