<br />43 <br /> <br />5.0 EMPLOYEE TRAINING ASSIGNMENTS <br /> <br />5.1 TRAINING REQUIREMENTS FOR ON-SITE PERSONNEL <br />All personnel performing on-site activities who may be exposed to chemical hazards are required <br />to be trained by CCR, Title 8, Section 5192. As required by the specific tasks, site personnel will <br />have completed the following: <br /> <br />• 40-hour Hazardous Waste Operations (HAZWOPER) training, specified in OSHA 29 CFR <br />1910.120. <br />• 8-Hour HAZWOPER refresher course if initial 40-Hour HAZWOPER training was acquired <br />more than one year before the start date of site operations. <br /> <br />Personnel who are only on-site occasionally for a specific limited task (such as plan review, <br />meetings, land surveying, geographic surveying, asphalt paving, electrical work, etc.) and who <br />are unlikely to be exposed over permissible and published exposure limits shall be informed of <br />the site hazards in a tailgate safety meeting. <br /> <br />At least one on-site manager or supervisor shall have completed the following: <br /> <br />• An additional eight (8) hours of supervisor training before the start of site activities. <br />• Competent Person certification for Excavations and Trenches. <br />• CPR/First-Aid certification <br /> <br />If acceptable to the Owner, workers on-site only occasionally for a specific limited task (such as <br />well abandonment) and who are unlikely to be exposed over permissible and published exposure <br />limits shall have received a minimum of 24 hours of instruction off-site and a minimum of one <br />day of actual field experience with a trained, experienced supervisor. Employees who have not <br />received the required training before site operations are not engaged in site operations until such <br />training has been completed. <br /> <br />5.2 EMPLOYEE TRAINING PROGRAM: <br /> <br />5.2.1 TRAINING PROGRAM <br /> <br />Upon request, ICS shall make available a summary of the Health and Safety Training Program and <br />a list of elements and topics covered. <br />
