When asked how small spills are addressed, <br /> the facility Superintendent stated that the spills are allowed to enter the grates that drain to the oil water separator. <br /> -Superintendent Tremaine stated that he was unaware of what happened to used fuel filters from the emergency <br /> generator or used absorbent after cleanup of minor spills. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE: The business owner must ensure that all employees are thoroughly familiar with proper <br /> waste handling and emergency procedures, relevant to their responsibilities during normal facility operations and <br /> emergencies. <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately train the employees. Provide proof of training within 30 days to the San Joaquin <br /> County Environmental Health Department(EHD)for employees whose responsibilities include hazardous waste. <br /> This is(Class 2)Violation. <br /> 6 CA Code of Regulations 66262.40(a)3010010- Signed copy of Uniform Hazardous Waste Manifest kept for 3 years. <br /> OBSERVATION: The business operator could not provide hazardous waste disposal records for the past three years <br /> during the inspection. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE: A hazardous waste generator shall keep a copy of each manifest signed in accordance <br /> with section 66262.23(a)for three years or until the generator receives a signed copy from the designated facility <br /> which received the waste.This signed copy shall be retained as a record for at least three years from the date the <br /> waste was accepted by the initial transporter. <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Provide a copy of disposal records for the past three years, 5/22/22 through 5/22/25,for all <br /> hazardous waste.
