Disposal Facility (Site) Inspection Report (52) <br /> Forward Landfill, Inc. (39-AA-0015) <br /> 1/24/2025 <br /> The complaint received on December 16, 2024 was not documented in the Special <br /> Occurrence Log. <br /> A.) Each site operator shall maintain a daily log book or file of the following information: <br /> fires, landslides, earthquake damage, unusual and sudden settlement, injury and <br /> property damage accidents, explosions, receipt or rejection of unpermitted wastes, <br /> flooding, and other unusual occurrences. <br /> B.) Ensure the complaint is documented properly in the Special Occurrence Log. <br /> Inspection Report Comments <br /> Notes: <br /> 1. On December 9, 2024, the LEA was notified that Forward Landfill accepted a load of <br /> wrongfully profiled soil from Clean Harbors. The soil was received on November 6, 2024 and <br /> was unloaded at the contaminated soil area of the landfill. Currently, the contaminated soil is <br /> isolated and tarped. Operator intends to have the waste removed from the site and properly <br /> disposed by the end of January 2025. <br /> 2. First truck on site was at 5:10 am. <br /> 3. The weather during the inspection was 39°F with an eastern wind of 2 mph. <br /> 4. Operator will begin utilizing spotter station(s), in the near future. Operator is to notify the <br /> LEA in writing prior to using the station(s). <br /> 5. Erosion channels were not observed. <br /> 6. Sheep used for vegetation control and falcon used for bird control. <br /> 7. Records were reviewed. <br /> 8. Track out and odors were light. <br /> 9. Gas wells GP-20 and GP-24 were measured for methane.
