A dOAQU1N Environmental Health Department <br /> CQLJIVTY AMENDED <br /> 9/17/2025 <br /> CP22 - HW SQG Inspection Report <br /> Facility Name: Facility Address: Date: <br /> GUNTERT&ZIMMERMAN CONST DIV INC 222 E FOURTH ST, RIPON August 25 2025 <br /> SUMMARY OF VIOLATIONS <br /> (CLASS I,CLASS II,or MINOR-Notice to Comply) <br /> Item# Remarks <br /> secondary containments throughout the facility were observed with residues and liquid inside and are not properly <br /> maintained to assure proper operation. <br /> -Two green secondary container observed in the hazardous materials storage area was observed with liquid inside the <br /> container. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE:All facility communications or alarm systems,fire protection equipment, spill control <br /> equipment, and decontamination equipment,where required, shall be tested and maintained as necessary to assure <br /> its proper operation in time of emergency. <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Bring the fire extinguishers into proper working order by repair, replacement or testing. <br /> Provide a corrective action statement to the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department within 30 days. <br /> This is a repeat violation (Class 2) Violation. <br /> 53 CA Code of Regulations 66262.34(d)(2)3030030-Maintains and operates the facility to minimize the possibility of <br /> fire/explosion/release. <br /> OBSERVATION: One blue and white 55 gallon drum located inside the building hazardous waste storage area was <br /> observed with pink sign "Oil Pan, Filter Drain only"was observed with dark stains underneath and the side of the <br /> drum. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE:A hazardous waste generator must maintain and operate its facility to minimize the <br /> possibility of a fire, explosion, or any unplanned sudden or non-sudden release of hazardous waste or hazardous <br /> waste constituents to air, soil, or surface water which could threaten human health or the environment. <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately[FIX LEAK, CLEAN STAINS, ETC.]. Manage the waste according to Title 22 <br /> California Code of Regulations for hazardous waste. Submit a statement and supporting documentation to the San <br /> Joaquin County Environmental Health Department describing the storage and final disposition of the cleaned up waste. <br /> This is (Minor)Violation. <br /> 59 CA Code of Regulations 66273.34 3030008-UWH labeled all universal waste. <br /> OBSERVATION: The facility has not labeled their universal waste(UW)as required by this section. The following <br /> universal waste was observed on-site with incomplete labeling: One box of universal waste containing LAMPS had <br /> labels that were not legible. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE: Title 22 California Code of Regulations section 66273.34 Labeling/Marking <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately label the UW as required by this section. Various UW can be appropriately <br /> labeled: "Universal Waste-Batteries", "Universal Waste-Mercury-Containing Equipment', "Universal Waste-Lamps"or <br /> "Universal Waste-Electronic Devices".
