This container was located outside of the building near the entrance for trucks to be serviced. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE: (a)a generator may accumulate hazardous waste on-site for 90 days or less (b)The <br /> beginning of the 90 day period is determined as follows: (1) if the generator does not generate more than 100 <br /> kilograms of hazardous waste or one kilogram of acutely hazardous waste (listed in section 66261.33(e))or one <br /> kilogram of extremely hazardous waste during any calendar month,the 90 day period begins on the date the generator <br /> has accumulated 100 kilograms of hazardous waste or one kilogram of acutely hazardous waste or one kilogram of <br /> extremely hazardous waste; (2)if the generator generates more than 100 kilograms of hazardous waste or one <br /> kilogram of acutely hazardous waste or one kilogram of extremely hazardous waste during any calendar month, the <br /> 90-day period begins on the first date on which any amount of hazardous waste begins to accumulate during that <br /> month. <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately dispose of the hazardous waste stored on site greater than 90 days in <br /> compliance with Title 22 California Code of Regulations. Provide a corrective action statement and a copy of the <br /> disposal records to the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department(EHD)within 30 days. <br /> This is (Class 2)Violation. <br /> 28 CA Code of Regulations 66262.34(f)3030007-Labeled all containers or portable tanks containing hazardous waste. <br /> OBSERVATION: Hazardous waste containers were observed on-site with no labeling. The containers were: <br /> -(2)black 5 gallon plastic containers containing used oil under the metal filter crusher <br /> -A 55 gallon drum of used metal oil filters was found with a pool of used oil, mixed with air filters and various other <br /> items. This container was located outside of the building near the entrance for trucks to be serviced. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE: All hazardous waste containers shall be marked with the following information: the words <br /> "Hazardous Waste", name and address of generator, hazardous properties, physical state, composition (contents), <br /> accumulation start date <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately label the containers as required for hazardous waste.
