Provide a corrective <br /> action statement and supporting documentation to the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department(EHD) <br /> within 30 days. <br /> This is (Class 2)Violation. <br /> 31 CA Code of Regulations 66265.173 3030018-Containers of hazardous waste closed except when adding or removing <br /> waste. <br /> OBSERVATION:The following open hazardous waste storage containers were observed on-site: <br /> -(2)5 gallon plastic containers of used oil under the oil filter crusher <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE:A container holding hazardous waste shall always be closed during transfer and storage, <br /> except when it is necessary to add or remove waste. <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately close these containers and ensure all hazardous waste containers are closed <br /> when not adding or removing waste. Provide a corrective action statement and supporting documentation to the San <br /> Joaquin County Environmental Health Department within 30 days. <br /> This is (Class 2)Violation. <br /> 38 CA Code of Regulations 66265.192(a)3010025-Obtained a written hazardous waste tank system assessment prior <br /> to placing into use. <br /> OBSERVATION: This facility has a 1,300 gallon hazardous waste tank of used oil and was not able to provide a <br /> hazardous waste tank assessment during the inspection. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE: Title 22 California Code of Regulations section 66270.11 Signatories to Permit <br /> Applications and Reports Title 22 California Code of Regulations section 66260.10 Definitions `Tank"means a <br /> stationary device, designed to contain an accumulation of hazardous waste which is constructed primarily of <br /> nonearthen materials(e.g., wood, concrete, steel, plastic)which provide structural support. Title 22 California Code of <br /> Regulations section 66265.192 Design and Installation of New Tank Systems or Components. Title 22 California <br /> Code of Regulations section 66265.193 Containment and Detection of Releases <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Have a qualified Professional Engineer prepare a tank assessment for each tank. Provide a <br /> corrective action statement and supporting documentation to the San Joaquin County Environmental Health <br /> Department(EHD)within 30 days.
