Geosptec
consultants
prepared in cooperation and in response to the CVRWQCB's request for additional investigation along
West Hammer Lane and to support Site closure by evaluating vapor intrusion on-Site.
1.2 Work Plan Objectives
The primary objectives of this Work Plan are to describe rationale and approach for the proposed sample
collection activities, to collect data to support assessment of the potential source and pathway of the off-
Site PCE concentrations reported in domestic supply wells and to collect the data necessary on-Site to
progress the Site towards closure. Ultimately,the data collected as part of this Work Plan is anticipated to
confirm that PCE impacts in the off-Site domestic wells are related to another off-Site source(s), and if
previous indoor air data are confirmed progress the Site towards closure.
1.3 Document Organization
The Work Plan is organized as follows:
• Section 2-Background describes the Site setting, geology, and hydrogeology. This section also
provides a summary of previous investigation activities at the Site;
• Section 3 - Scope of Work describes the scope of work including the rationale and approach, pre-
field activities, soil vapor probe installation and sampling, indoor and outdoor air sampling, sub-
slab soil vapor sampling, equipment decontamination, waste management, and quality assurance
and quality control methods;
• Section 4 - Reporting and Schedule describes the expected contents of the report that will be
prepared based on the results of the data collection activities. This section also presents the
proposed schedule for implementation of the Work Plan; and
• Section S-References lists the references cited in this Work Plan.
2 September 2025
