Miscellaneous Sources All waste dumpsters must be covered to prevent rainwater entry and leaks. In particular, the filter cake sludge bins should be covered at all times and pavement around it is kept clean and inspected regularly. All containers stored outside must be covered and empty. All empty open-top drums should have a cover installed to prevent rainwater entry and all closed-top drums either have bungs installed or be stored in a horizontal position. All soiled product stored outside must be stored in accordance with the Cintas policies in a way that prevents leaks. The area should be covered. Emergency Prevention and Preparedness The following equipment& materials are maintained on-site in case of a spill: Item Location 55 gallon spill kit Wastewater Room 15 gallon spill kit Drive Thru PPE(coveralls, rubber boots, gloves, Wastewater Room goggles, and face shields) Eye wash stations WW Room, Drive Thru&Wash Alley The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that the spill cleanup equipment and supplies are maintained and available during an emergency. Monthly checks are performed to inspect areas with elevated spill potential. Following the inspection, all minor leaks, housekeeping issues or any other unusual circumstances which may increase the risk of a chemical release must be corrected as soon as possible. The availability of the spill response equipment and supplies should be checked during the inspection. The list of items covered in the monthly inspections is included in Attachment 3. The MaintainX system is used to generate monthly site inspection tasks and as a recordkeeping tool. Spill Response Procedure 1. Upon discovery of a spill, notify the designated Emergency Response Coordinator (ERC) immediately.
