This PPE/JSA Program applies lu all Cintas partners, contractors, and visitors at all Cintas <br /> locations. <br /> 1.2 Purpose <br /> The purpose of this program is-to-comply with 29-CFRI910.132(d)(1)which requires an employer <br /> to conduct a hazard assessment to determine if hazards are present, or likely to be present, which <br /> necessitate the use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), 29 CFR 1910.132(d)(2) requiring initial <br /> written certification that such hazard assessment has been performed, 29 CFR 1910.132(f)(2) <br /> requiring the employer to provide written certification that it trained its employees in how to use the <br /> PPE and that the employees understood the training. and state regulations as applicable. <br /> 1.3 Application <br /> Cintas shall provide a work environment that is free from recognized hazards that could cause or <br /> are likely to cause a fatality or serious physical harm. <br /> Cintas shall ensure that personal protective equipment(PPE) for eyes, ears, face, head, skin and <br /> extremities is provided, as required, used, and maintained in a sanitary and reliable condition <br /> whenever a workplace hazard, including process or environmental hazards, chemical hazards, <br /> radiological hazards, or mechanical irritants are likely to be encountered in the workplace, in a <br /> manner capable of causing injury or impairment to the body through absorption, inhalation or <br /> physical contact. Cintas shall provide all required PPE at no cost to partner <br /> PPE required to be worn by Cintas partners will be identified in the job or task Specific-Job Safety <br /> Analysis (JSA) that is required for each job position and must be reviewed with the affected partner <br /> upon hire or job transfer, whenever a JSA is updated, and at least annually. All partners are <br /> required to complete PPE and JSA training. <br /> PPE will be selected and used to protect partners from all known hazards and potential hazards that <br /> are likely to be encountered. Hearing protection is covered under its own program if applicable.
