6.2 To reduce the alrborne dust levels, compressed air may be used roi rriirwi cleaning purposes only after the majority of the dust has been cleaned up manually. There must be pressure-reducing devices (safety tips) on air nozzles capable of reducing pressure below 30psi (206kPA). Eye protection must be worn while using compressed air as a blow down tool. Compressed air shall not be used to clean dirt and dust from clothing and/or skin. 6.3 All floors and aisles shall be kept in good repair and be free from obstructions such as protruding nails, splinters, holes, or other tripping hazards. Floors in working areas shall also be kept clean to prevent slipping and shall provide an effective means to prevent slipping. 6.4 Aisle ways and passageways shall be kept open and clean to maintain safe egress. 7.0 Training 7.1 PPE. training will be provided annually that includes, but is not limited to the following: 1. When PPE is necessary to be worn 2. What PPE is necessary 3. How to adjust and wear PPE 4. The limitations of PPE 5. Proper care, maintenance, useful life, and disposal of PPE 7.2 All Cintas partners must complete the JSA/PPE Training Program annually, which provides the understanding and ability to assess hazards and develop JSA's and Task-Based JSA's. Partners must also receive training annually on their specific-JSA or immediately upon job transfer or promotion including sign-in documents and learning assessment. 7-.3 Train-the-trainer training completed, including acknowledgment and learning assessment for_all__ trainers. 7.4 Applicable JSA's must be signed and understood annually by all partners. If a partner performs or manages more than one job, they must understand and acknowledge each JSA for each applicable position. Appendix C may be used to capture acknowledgement of multiple JSA's 7.5 Partners must be wearing PPE as indicated in the applicable JSA(s). Partners found to not be wearing the required PPE will be considered in violation of our safety procedures and subject to disciplinary action including termination. 7.6 Partners shall be retrained whenever Managers/Supervisors have reason to believe that any affected partner who has already been trained, does not have the understanding and skill described in this section. Circumstances where retraining is required include, but are not limited to, situations where- 1. Changes in the workplace render previous training obsolete, 2. Changes in the types of PPE to be used render previous training obsolete, 3. Inadequacies in an affected employee's knowledge or use of assigned PPE indicate that the employee has not retained the requisite understanding or skill. 8.0 Recordkeening 8.1 Training records must be retained in accordance with corporate records retention requirements.
