Adjust pump Noting to proper dosagcS. <br /> 3, Set OAF/ASII feed pump flow rate in PLC(ifapplicablc)and turn pump to AUTO(control panel or P1.,C). <br /> 4. Turn the sludge transfer pump to AUTO position at control panel or N.C. <br /> I <br /> 5, Check calibration flow rate for all chemical feed pumps(drawdown tests per chemical vendor SOPS). <br /> 6. Purge bottom sludge from DAF/ASII approximately 30 minutes after startup. <br /> SHUTDOWN PROCEDURE <br /> For some systems,at a preset low-level in the equalization tank, DAl/ASII Iced and chemical pumps turn OFF <br /> automatically (normal shutdown). These pumps can also be turned OFF manually for overnight/weekend <br /> shutdown per the following procedure: <br /> I. Check water level in equalization tank(should be at low level setpoint for shutdown). <br /> 2. Turn the DAF/ASH feed and all chemical pumps to OFF at control panel or PLC. <br /> 3. Turn the equalization tank mixing system OFF at control panel or PLC. (can be left ON if needed). <br /> 4. Turn chemical mix tank mixers OFF at control panel or PLC. <br /> 5. No sooner than 30 minutes after shutdown,turn OFF recirculation pump (DAF only), solids skimmer, and <br /> sludge transfer pump to OFF at control panel or PLC.LEAVE THESE ON AUTO DIMING SHORT PERIODS <br /> OF DAF/A.SH.SffUTDOWN/<4 HRS) THROUGHOUT THE,PROC'ESSINC DPI Y. <br /> 6. Close DAF/ASH feed pump and all chemical metering pump discharge valves. <br /> 7. Purge bottom sludge from DAF/ASH after both normal and overnight shutdowns. <br /> ANYSOLID.S LEFT IN THE SYSTEM WILL CAUSE HEAVY CARRYOVER FOR UP TO INR AFTER STARTUP!! <br /> WEEKLY SHUTDOWN PROCEDURE <br /> The following procedure is to be followed when the system is to be shut down over a weekend: <br /> 1. Drain the DAF/ASH and pipe flocculator weekly and wash out all solids. If possible, drain water to the <br /> clean pit and pump solids to the sludge tank. <br />
