The owner or operator shall obtain a written assessment reviewed and
certified by an independent qualified, professional engineer, registered in California in accordance with section
66270.11(d)attesting that the system has sufficient structural integrity, is acceptable for the transferring, storing
and treating of hazardous waste, and that the tanks and containment system are suitably designed to achieve the
requirements of this article).
1.0 TANK ID: TANK 1 — 7,875-GALLON, SINGLE-COMPARTMENT TANK
1.1 Regulatory Requirement: Tank Configuration(i.e., horizontal, vertical), material of construction,
nd gross capacity(in gallons)
Horizontal, rectangular,single-walled steel within tank containment room with a capacity of
7,875 gallons. The tank is situated on 2 inch high steel legs, which are not anchored to the
concrete ground surface. The foundation is adequate and sound for the tank, however the
tank should be anchored to the concrete.
1.2 Regulatory Requirement:Design Standard(s),if available, according to which the tank and
ancillary equipment were or will be constructed and all of the following information:
UL 142 single-walled tank for combustible liquids. Model#C259084
A. Regulatory Requirement: Material of Construction
The tank is constructed of carbon steel.
B. Regulatory Requirement:Material thickness and the method used to determine the thickness
Ultrasonic thickness (UT) measurements were taken to confirm the current tank integrity.Tank
shell thickness ranged from 0.244 to 0.275 inches. UL 142 standard indicates original thickness
should be a minimum of 0.240 inches.
C. Regulatory Requirement:Description of tank system piping(material, diameter)
Aboveground,single-walled piping is connected to the tank. The inflow piping from the oil
water separator(OWS) is 1-inch in diameter and connected to the fill port at the top of the
tank. The inflow piping from the service pit is a 1-inch diameter hose and steel piping which
extends from the underground service pit to the tank room.A 2-inch diameter valved outflow
pipe is located at the top of the tank and extends upward to the ceiling of the room wall, then
down into a transfer alcove where it is capped.
NOGENO
ALLIANCE us.anteagroup.com
1
