(Stantec) staff to discuss the path forward for the four
underground storage tank (UST) petroleum release cases which comprise the Stockton
Charter Way Commingled Plume (CP0057; Site):
• Chevron Station #9-2033 (Chevron) at 508 West Charter Way,
• ARCO #2168 (ARCO) at 441 West Charter Way,
• Colombo/Toscana at 1444 South Lincoln Street, and
• Former Texaco Station (Texaco) at 440 West Charter Way.
During the meeting, the following was discussed and agreed upon:
Historical soil samples collected on the ARCO property exceed the Direct
Contact and Outdoor Air Exposure thresholds for benzene and ethylbenzene
established in the Low -Threat UST Case Closure Policy (LTCP). The 9 -foot soil
sample from boring P-1 contained benzene above the threshold, while the 6 -fool
sample from boring P-2 contained benzene and ethylbenzene above the
thresholds. Additional shallow soil sampling is needed on the ARCO property to
confirm that post -remediation soil conditions meet LTCP criteria.
2. In their 29 February 2016 Work Plan, Stantec proposed several additional
monitoring and remedial wells. Central Valley Water Board staff concurred, and
Stantec installed the proposed wells, except for downgradient delineation wells
MARK BRADFORD, CHAIR I PATRICK PULUPA, EsQ., EXECUTIVE OFFICER
11020 Sun Center Drive #200, Rancho Cordova, CA 95670 1 www.waterboards.ca.gov/centralvalley
