Stockton Charter Way Commingled Plume - 2 - 20 December 2021
SMW-34E, SMW-35D, and SMW-36D. Stantec did not install these wells due to
off -Site access issues. The furthest downgradient D -zone monitoring well
SLMW-1 OD contains 1,200 micrograms per liter (ug/L) total petroleum
hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPHg). As such, installation of these three
delineation wells is still warranted. Stantec has identified an alternate property
on which they can install downgradient wells. Due to the access issues, in July
2022 email communication, Stantec staff submitted revised locations for these
three wells, and Central Valley Water Board staff concurred with the revised
locations. A copy of the email correspondence has been uploaded to
GeoTracker.
3. There are a number of Site wells that have never been impacted or are no longer
impacted. These wells may either be reduced to annual gauging/inspection only
or destroyed. Additionally, Stantec stated that a few Site wells have deteriorating
conditions which may require reconditioning or re -development.
4. By 17 February 2023, please submit a work plan which includes the following:
• A proposal for a shallow soil sampling scope of work to provide current
ARCO soil data for evaluation against LTCP Direct Contact and Outdoor Air
Exposure criteria.
Propose Site monitoring wells for gauge -only, reconditioning/re-
development, or destruction as needed and provide justification for each.
Depict revised delineation well locations on included Site maps.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding comments in this letter or regarding the
Site, please contact Alan Buehler at (916) 464-4615 or by email at
alan.buehler(c-waterboards.ca.gov.
Alan M.
