STC
February 25, 2022
Mr. Jeff Wong
San Joaquin County
Environmental Health Department
1868 E Hazelton Avenue
Stockton, California 95205
1117 Lone Palm Avenue, Suite 201 B
Modesto, California 95351
Telephone 209-579-2221
Subject: Monitoring Well Destruction Workplan Addendum, Jamar Service Station, 4075 East
Main Street, Stockton, California. LUST Case: 391042
Dear Mr. Buehler:
ATC Group Services LLC (ATC) doing business as Atlas Technical (Atlas) has prepared this
addendum to Atlas's Monitoring Well Destruction Workplan (Workplan) dated August 9, 2021 and
the Monitoring Well Destruction Workplan Addendum dated January 4, 2022. This addendum was
requested by San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (SJC) via e-mail on January
20, 2022 and subsequent phone conversations. The change in the scope of work is described in
detail in the following paragraphs.
Well Destruction Activities
In the Workplan and Addendum, Atlas proposed to destroy all wells associated with the project site
by overdrilling the total length of the well. Atlas now proposes to destroy these wells, utilizing the
services of Tylor McMillian's Well Service, LLC to provide blasting services alongside C-57 drilling
contractor MR Drilling. A blasting charge will be introduced into the well and the casing be backfilled
with neat cement grout, via tremmie pipe. The blasting will be designed to destroy the screen interval
of the well. After the screen interval is destroyed, the top five feet will be overdrilled via auger drilling
and the resulting borehole be backfilled to approximately one foot below grade with neat cement
grout. The well casing to the surface will be grouted to approximately one foot of the surface. The
top five feet will be overdrilled and the resultant borehole will be backfilled with neat cement grout to
within one foot of the surface. The surface will be completed to match surrounding conditions.
If you have questions or comments regarding this project, please contact our office at (209) 579-
2221.
Respectfully submitted,
Atlas Technical
 a4
JQVn Sellman
Staff Geologist
cc: Ms. Lori Toccoli
Jeanne Homsey, P.E.
CA Professional Engineer No. 47410
