LUST Case: 391042
Dear Mr. Buehler:
ATC Group Services LLC (ATC) doing business as Atlas Technical (Atlas) has prepared this
addendum to Atlas's Monitoring Well Destruction Workplan (Workplan) dated August 9, 2021. This
addendum was requested by San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (SJC) via e-
mail on December 30, 2021. The change in the scope of work is described in detail in the following
paragraphs.
Well Destruction Activities
In the Workplan, Atlas proposed to destroy wells MW9A, MW9B, MW9C, MW13A, MW13B, MW13C,
MW14B, and MW14C via pressure grouting. Pressure grouting for MW9A, 9B, 9C, 13A, 13B, 13C,
14B and 14C was not approved by SJC, stating that SJC Well Standards 13.17.6 requires complete
removal of all material within the original borehole. Atlas now proposes to destroy these wells by
overdrilling with hollow stem augers and grouting the boreholes to the surface as the augers are
removed from the subsurface in accordance with methods described in the Workplan.
If you have questions or comments regarding this project, please contact our office at (209) 579-
2221.
Respectfully submitted,
Atlas Technical
 a4
JQVn Sellman
Staff Geologist
cc: Ms. Lori Toccoli
Jeanne Homsey, P.E.
CA Professional Engineer No. 47410
0047 10 rn
Exp. iz l 2aa3 i
9., CIVIL
