The instruments and equipment will receive routine preventative maintenance. At a minimum, all
instruments (including backup) will be inspected for usable condition and calibration status prior to each
field use.
10.0 INSPECTION/ACCEPTANCE OF SUPPLIES AND CONSUMABLES
Prior to acceptance, all supplies and consumables will be inspected by the contractor's assigned personnel
to ensure that they are in satisfactory condition, are free of defects, and are free of potential sources of
contamination with chemical compounds of interest. If defects are noted, the item will be replaced. The
FPM or designated environmental personnel will inspect all supplies and consumables provided by
subcontractors, including laboratories.
11.0 NON-DIRECT MEASUREMENTS
Non-direct measurements include information from logbooks, site documents, photographs, topographic
maps, and data from other sources that may be used to augment the dataset collected under this project
and to assist in decision-making. The logbooks, data sheets, photographs, and topographic maps
generated or utilized by the environmental contractor will be documented as specified in this QA/QC Plan.
Information from external sources will be evaluated for any limitation on the data use and will be
incorporated into project documents with concurrence of the project team, including DTSC. These sources
will be identified in any project reporting documents and these documents will include relevant
information on any such sources, including the original generator, associated QC, and limitations on use.
12.0 DATA MANAGEMENT
Each data package and associated QA/QC information received from the State-certified analytical
laboratory will be reviewed to confirm that data quality objectives have been met. The parameters to be
reviewed will include:
• Sample holding times;
• Blank data;
• Field duplicate data;
• Surrogate recovery data;
• MS/MSD data; and
• Remarks provided by the laboratory.
The sample holding times will be reviewed to ensure that the requested analyses were completed within
the specified holding times for those analyses. The analytical results of field and/or laboratory blank
samples that were analyzed will be checked for evidence of potential contamination. Accuracy of the
reported results will be evaluated by checking the surrogate recoveries, and the MS/MSD spike recoveries
against the specified QC criteria for the method. The precision of the reported results will be evaluated by
checking the results of the MS/MSD, field duplicate and laboratory duplicate samples.
Quality Assurance/Quality Control Plan
Tracy Corners Shopping Center
3225 North Tracy Boulevard
Tracy,California 95376
Partner Project Number SM14-129814
Docket Number HAS-VCA 14/15-108
August 15,2016
Page 13
