The lateral extent of the gravel proximate to the dry cleaners suite is not known. No obvious fine
grained units or other evidence of heterogeneity other than the gravel were encountered.
Local and Regional H, drolog.Y
During January and May 2015, groundwater was encountered at approximately 10 to 12 feet bgs.
No data regarding site-specific groundwater flow direction is currently available; regionally, the
groundwater flow direction is predominantly to the north-northeast. Based on field observations,
confining units were not encountered and the water table appeared to be unconfined.
The closest surface water body is an unnamed canal located approximately 5000 feet to the east of
the Site; the canal flows to the north and discharges to Sugar Cut slough approximately 6000 feet
northeast of the Site.
Preferential Pathways
To date and based on limited characterization,no preferential pathways for soil gas or groundwater
such as fractures, sand lenses, or utility corridors have been identified.
Groundwater Quality
Potable water used at the Site is from a monitored municipal source provided by the City of Tracy.
To date, three grab groundwater samples from beneath and adjacent to the south of the dry cleaner
suite contained PCE at a maximum concentration of 30 µg/L. Seven additional grab groundwater
samples from the southwest, east, north, and northeast of the dry cleaners suite did not contain
detectable concentrations of VOCs.
To date, no groundwater monitoring wells have been installed and the lateral and vertical extent
of the existing plume is unknown.
Well Records and Boring Logs
Copies of the two May 3, 1991 DWR Water Well Drillers Reports associated with the documented
destruction of two water wells that were within the southeastern portion of the Site and the soil
boring logs from shallow borings advanced in January 2015 are included in Appendix E.
Sampling and Analysis Workplan
Tracy Corners Shopping Center
3225 North Tracy Boulevard
Tracy,California 95376
Partner Project Number SM14-129814
Docket Number HAS-VCA 14/15-108
August 15,2016
Page 15
