1 . INTRODUCTION <br /> The San Joaquin County Department of General Services (the County) tasked Weston Solutions, <br /> Inc (WESTONe) with preparing a work plan for site assessment at the Human Services Agency <br /> (I ISA) building located at 145 South Salter Street in Stockton, California (the Site). 'I he HSA <br /> building was constructed at the site of a fanner gasoline servrrc station which utilized <br /> underground storage tanks (USTs) thm had released petroleum hydrocarbons to subsurface soil <br /> and groundwater. This work plan has been prepared in rosponsc to the 21 March 2018 document <br /> review Ieuer submitted by the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Band (R WQCB). <br /> The objectives of like site assessment activities are to collect additional data required by RWQCB <br /> prior to evaluating the site for possible closure. The specific items requested in the 21 March 2018 <br /> letter include; <br /> 1 . Install and sample permanent soil gas wells near the southeast corner of the existing Site <br /> building. <br /> 2. Collect shallow soil samples near Sommer USTsfi through 9 and l l through 14 to complete <br /> soil assessment for all requested Misfire in these areas. <br /> 3. Coiled shallow soil samples near form USTs 4 through 9 and I I through 14 to assess the <br /> direct contact and outdoor air exposure risk pathways. <br /> 4. Colledsuffident soil samples to adequately address MTBE concentrations in on-Site soil. <br />
