Universal Health & Safety Plan r <br /> For use on all high-risk,industrial and HAZWOPER projects <br /> Department of Toxic Substances Control <br /> ■ Assist in the preparation of risk assessments. <br /> ■ Assist in the review of SH&E training needs. <br /> ■ Verify necessary training as required by AECOM policies and procedures and/or the regulations. <br /> ■ Assist in the setting of SH&E expectations at project level and review them periodically. <br /> ■ Perform project SH&E audits on a periodic basis. <br /> ■ Monitor the corrective actions taken, where audits identify non-conformance or opportunities for improvement,for <br /> confirmation of their completion and effectiveness. <br /> ■ Lead by example,walk the talk. <br /> 10.5 AECOM Employees <br /> Responsibilities of employees associated with this project include, but are not limited to: <br /> ■ Arrive onsite fit for duty and dressed for weather conditions. <br /> ■ Actively participate in tailgate safety meetings and crew THA reviews. <br /> ■ Perform only assigned tasks consistent with training &competency. <br /> ■ Follow SWP/HASP,THA and safety requirements&control measures. <br /> ■ Use 4-sight as a last-minute risk assessment tool. <br /> ■ Notify the AECOM site supervisor prior to any deviation from the planned activity(i.e., change in personnel, <br /> methods, materials, equipment, etc.). <br /> ■ Use stop work authority and report all unsafe acts/behaviors and conditions, near misses and incidents to the <br /> AECOM site supervisor. <br /> ■ Always conduct yourself in a professional and ethical manner. <br /> 10.6 Visitors <br /> Authorized visitors(e.g., client representatives, regulators,AECOM management staff, etc.)requiring entry to any work location <br /> on the site will be briefed by the Project Manager, Site Supervisor,or Site Safety Officer on the hazards present at that location. <br /> Visitors will be escorted at all times at the work location and will be responsible for compliance with their employer's health and <br /> safety policies. In addition,this HASP specifies the minimum acceptable qualifications,training and PPE that are required for <br /> entry to any controlled work area; visitors must comply with these requirements at all times. <br /> If the site visitor requires entry to any exclusion zone(EZ), but does not comply with the above requirements,the visitor will be <br /> denied access to the EZ. If the visitor disregards instructions to remain outside the EZ, work activities will be immediately <br /> suspended, and the situation reported and documented. <br /> Unauthorized visitors, and visitors not meeting the specified qualifications, will NOT be permitted within established controlled <br /> work areas.
