®: Quality Assurance/Quality Control Plan
Martin Metals Finishing Inc. (Former)
Stockton, California
5 DATA REVIEW AND REPORTING
5.1.1 Data Storage and Preservation
CDIM will utilize DTSC's Electronic Submittal of Information (ESI) system to submit the data from this
investigation through the EnviroStor website. FIP will retain all data, reports, and other documents related to this
investigation for a minimum of six years after the termination of the SVA, per SVA Section 12, Record Preservation
(DTSC, 2022).
5.1.2 Data Validation
CDIM will perform a Level 2 Data Validation on the results received from the laboratory to verify the quality
of results. This process includes reviewing the results of samples, evaluating sample handling and documentation
procedures, and assessing laboratory QC data. The results of the Level 2 Data Validation will be presented in the
final report.
Data will be assessed by evaluating the QC sample results for groups of samples that were prepared and
analyzed together. Data packages will be evaluated according to some or all of the following methods:
• Accurate COC documentation;
• Compliance with holding times and field preservation of samples;
• Assessment of batch QC samples (e.g., method blanks, control samples, and matrix spikes) for
analysis and reporting using the required specifications;
• Assessment of surrogate spike recoveries (for organic methods); and
• Acceptable Relative Percent Difference between samples and duplicate samples.
CDIM—Fairgrounds Industrial Park Page 11
