.� CDIM Standard Operating Procedure <br /> 1.0 Chain of Custody <br /> Rev. 0 10/23/2020 <br /> handling and subsequent transportation of the sample(s) to the designated laboratory. To ensure <br /> quality, the Project Manager or their designee will review completed COCs daily, This means that <br /> the COCs (or a facsimile of) will be submitted to the project manager at the end of each field day <br /> via fax, scan, smart phone application allowing photographs to be sent as pdfs, hard copy, carbon <br /> copy, or other equivalent transmittal method. Within 24 hours of the samples being collected, the <br /> PM or their designee is responsible for checking that the forms are completed correctly, contain <br /> the correct information, and that the appropriate samples and analyses have been requested. <br /> The Project Manager will determine the disposition and fate of sample(s) that have identified <br /> deficiencies (e.g., missed holding times, elevated temperature at receipt, etc.). <br /> The sample team member(s) are responsible for properly documenting and maintaining <br /> the COC from the time of sample collection until delivery of the sample to the laboratory. <br /> Laboratory personnel are responsible for receipt of samples which have been submitted <br /> to the laboratory under a COC document. The laboratory will document and maintain the COC <br /> from the moment they take custody of the sample(s) until the sample(s) are disposed of or <br /> returned to the client. <br /> 4 RECORDS <br /> Records generated as a result of this SOP will be controlled and maintained by the PM in <br /> hard copy or electronic format. <br /> 5 ATTACHMENTS <br /> None. <br /> 4 <br />
