Before commencing field work, the
HSP will be reviewed by CDIM personnel at the Site. Since minimal exposure to personnel is expected during the
sampling process, required personal protective equipment will be Level D, which is described as a work uniform
affording minimal protection, and used for nuisance contamination only.
4.6 Decontamination
Single-use items (e.g., gloves, sampling scoops, direct push liners)will be utilized to the extent possible
to avoid cross-contamination between samples. In addition, the driller will clean drilling and other reusable
downhole equipment between borings.
4.7Investigation Derived Waste
All investigation derived waste, including soil cuttings, will be contained in Department of Transportation-
approved 55-gallon drums. The waste drums will be labeled with date, contents, CDIM contact information and
CDIM—Fairgrounds Industrial Park Page 15
