Some areas will require a hot patch <br /> asphalt surface finish. <br /> 4.3 Chemical Hazards <br /> The classes of chemicals that are known or suspected to be present that may be encountered <br /> while performing site work include the following: <br /> • Chlorinated volatile organic compounds (VOCs) <br /> • Oxidizers (potassium permanganate) <br /> Controls for these hazards are presented in the THAs included in Appendix B.
