Phase II Sampling and Analysis Plan SOP-1 -General Field Procedures <br /> Port of Stockton-Rail and Bridge,Stockton,CA FN <br /> should then be checked daily for damage or required maintenance. For each HDR owned vehicle, <br /> mileage will be recorded on the vehicle mileage log at the start and end of each field event. <br /> 5 Procedure <br /> 5.1 Start-Up Activities <br /> 5.1 .1 Office <br /> Prior to leaving the office for field work, personnel will perform the following actions: <br /> 1. The Project Manager (PM)will assign an FTL to direct field activities and coordinate with <br /> project personnel. Task specific responsibilities of the FTL will be addressed in the <br /> appropriate SOP; general responsibilities include: <br /> a. Review PSI work plan and HASP. <br /> b. Work with PM to properly staff the field activity. <br /> c. Coordinate sampling activities with the project chemist and analytical laboratory. <br /> d. Confirm availability and condition of HDR-owned equipment and order additional <br /> equipment/supplies for delivery prior to the start of each event. <br /> e. Prepare field forms and other documentation for the planned event. <br /> f. If work is to be subcontracted, review the subcontract agreement, PSI work plan, and <br /> HASP. <br /> g. Confirm that field staff have a valid Driver's License (or other picture identification) and <br /> current OSHA Certification in their possession prior to leaving the office. <br /> 5.1 .2 Field <br /> After arrival on site, but prior to commencement of operations, the following activities will be <br /> performed: <br /> 1. Complete equipment and supply checklists and verify that required documentation and <br /> equipment for field activities are on site. <br /> 2. Review condition rental equipment, inventory field supplies, and subcontractor-provided <br /> sampling supplies. <br /> 3. Review locations for planned field activities for hazards, determine requirements for site <br /> preparation and clearance, and select location for the storage of purge and decontamination <br /> waters. <br /> 4. Conduct team safety meetings as required by the HASP. <br /> 5. Conduct team review of the project documents including SOPS to be utilized. <br /> 1-2 <br />
