Phase II Sampling and Analysis Plan SOP-1 -General Field Procedures <br /> Port of Stockton-Rail and Bridge,Stockton,CA FN <br /> 5.2 Field Operations <br /> Field staff responsibilities are project-specific. At a minimum, field personnel will perform the <br /> following activities: <br /> 1. Document field activities on field forms as required by the work plan or SOPS. <br /> 2. Record the following additional information for field measurements: <br /> a. The identification number and calibration results for each field instrument. <br /> b. The numerical value and units of each measurement. <br /> c. A description of any unexpected delays or problems observed during purging or <br /> sampling activities. <br /> 3. Complete required data collection/sample control forms (e.g., Chain-of-Custody, Field <br /> Sampling Report, etc.). <br /> 4. Communicate with the PM regarding site conditions and out of scope work to be performed. <br /> 5. Perform following activities daily before leaving the site: <br /> a. Decontaminate and check condition of field equipment. <br /> b. Provide field forms to FTL for review and scanning. <br /> c. Properly dispose of trash, debris, and used PPE, if appropriate. <br /> d. Safely store decontamination water. <br /> e. Make arrangements for shipment of samples (if applicable) and follow-up with the <br /> analytical laboratory to confirm samples arrived in good condition. <br /> f. Complete activity-specific field reports as required by applicable SOPS. <br /> g. Complete the Daily Field Report and submit to FTL (Attachment 1-1). <br /> 5.3 Field Documentation <br /> Field Forms will be used by each field team. In addition to field forms, a Daily Field Report will <br /> document activities. <br /> 1. The Daily Field Report will describe general activities performed, date and time, personnel <br /> and weather conditions. Communications with the FTL, PM or project chemist regarding field <br /> activities will be documented. <br /> 2. Deviations from the PSI work plan will be noted in the Daily Field Report. <br /> 3. Errors will be crossed out with a single line, the correction added, and the entry initialed and <br /> dated. <br /> 1-3 <br />
