The following is an itemized list of CP22 - HW SQG violations that have not been <br />addressed for KING ISLAND MARINA as of May 07, 2026. <br />Open violations from March 20, 2025 inspection <br />Violation #2 - 3020001 - Employees thoroughly familiar with all waste handling and emergency procedures. <br />OBSERVATION: At the time of inspection, it could not be demonstrated (not necessarily documented) that <br />employees who handle hazardous waste were properly trained. <br />-The hazardous waste storage shed was observed with open and improperly labeled containers and oily staining on <br />the tank and storage room walls and liquid in the secondary containment. The facility could not provide disposal <br />records during the inspection. Employees lack training in handling, storage and labeling of hazardous waste and <br />maintenance of secondary containment and disposal records. <br />REGULATION GUIDANCE: The business owner must ensure that all employees are thoroughly familiar with proper <br />waste handling and emergency procedures, relevant to their responsibilities during normal facility operations and <br />emergencies. <br />CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately train the employees. Provide proof of training within 30 days to the San Joaquin <br />County Environmental Health Department (EHD) for employees whose responsibilities include hazardous waste. <br />Describe actions taken or will be taken to correct violation: <br />¨ This violation will be corrected by (date): ¨ This violation was corrected <br />¨ Supporting documents included <br />Violation #6 - 3010010 - Signed copy of Uniform Hazardous Waste Manifest kept for 3 years. <br />OBSERVATION: The business operator could not provide hazardous waste disposal records for the past three years <br />during the inspection including those for used oil, oily absorbent and used filters. <br />REGULATION GUIDANCE: A hazardous waste generator shall keep a copy of each manifest signed in accordance <br />with section 66262.23(a) for three years or until the generator receives a signed copy from the designated facility <br />which received the waste. This signed copy shall be retained as a record for at least three years from the date the <br />waste was accepted by the initial transporter. <br />CORRECTIVE ACTION: Provide a copy of disposal records for the past three years, 3/20/22 through 3/20/25 for all <br />hazardous wastes including used oil, used oil/fuel filters and oily absorbent. Provide these records and a corrective <br />action statement to the EHD within 30 days. <br />Describe actions taken or will be taken to correct violation: <br />¨ This violation will be corrected by (date): ¨ This violation was corrected <br />¨ Supporting documents included <br />Page 1 of 5
