The following is an itemized list of CP22 - HW SQG violations that have not been <br />addressed for KING ISLAND MARINA as of May 07, 2026. <br />Open violations from March 20, 2025 inspection <br />Violation #53 - 3030030 - Maintains and operates the facility to minimize the possibility of <br />fire/explosion/release. <br />OBSERVATION: A pourable amount of oil was observed in a drip pan stacked in the hazardous waste storage area <br />and oil was pooled in the used oil tank lid that spilled out over the tank top when the lid was closed by King Island <br />Marina staff during the inspection . Multiple layers of oily streaks and drip marks were also observed on the exterior <br />walls of the used oil tank and the interior back wall of the shed. <br />REGULATION GUIDANCE: A hazardous waste generator must maintain and operate its facility to minimize the <br />possibility of a fire, explosion, or any unplanned sudden or non-sudden release of hazardous waste or hazardous <br />waste constituents to air, soil, or surface water which could threaten human health or the environment. <br />CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately clean all pooled oil and oily staining in the hazardous waste storage shed. <br />Manage the waste according to Title 22 California Code of Regulations for hazardous waste.
