The following is an itemized list of CP22 - HW SQG violations that have not been <br />addressed for KING ISLAND MARINA as of May 07, 2026. <br />Open violations from March 20, 2025 inspection <br />Violation #38 - 3030004 - Properly manages used oil filters and fuel filters. <br />OBSERVATION: Containers of used metal oil or fuel filters out of compliance with the storage rules were observed <br />on-site. <br />-A used filter that was not draining was observed sitting out on top of the used oil tank with no label. <br />-The facility could not provide disposal records for used filters for the past three years. <br />REGULATION GUIDANCE: Title 22 California Code of Regulations section 66266.130 Management of Used Oil Filters. <br />California Health & Safety Code section 25250.22 Fuel Filters <br />CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately drain all metal oil and fuel filters of free-flowing liquid, store them in closed, <br />rainproof containers. Label the container with the words “drained used oil filters” or "used gasoline filters", depending <br />on the contents. Mark the container with an accumulation start date. Dispose of all used filters stored on-site greater <br />than one year. Used filters not stored, handled and disposed of according to this section are regulated as hazardous <br />waste. Provide a corrective action statement, disposal records and supporting documentation to the San Joaquin <br />County Environmental Health Department (EHD) within 30 days. <br />Describe actions taken or will be taken to correct violation: <br />¨ This violation will be corrected by (date): ¨ This violation was corrected <br />¨ Supporting documents included <br />Violation #51 - 3030034 - Tests and maintains all required safety equipment at the facility. <br />OBSERVATION: The secondary containment pallets in the hazardous waste storage shed were observed to contain <br />pooled oily liquid in some areas and thick oily sludge on some areas. <br />REGULATION GUIDANCE: All facility spill control equipment shall be maintained as necessary to assure its proper <br />operation in time of emergency. <br />CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately clean up all oil and bring the hazardous waste storage area into proper working <br />order by removing the liquid in the secondary containment and placing it in the proper waste container.
