Site Description The 7 Sites are located at the following addresses: Department of Toxic Substances Control 5.1 Site Background/History The 7 sites which are Dry Cleaning Facilities identified by DTSC as part of the works that will be conducted will be part of a preliminary investigation.A Phase I Site Investigation was conducted at each site to access potential contaminated areas. Phase II investigations will be carried out to collect soil, indoor air, ambient air, and/or sub-slab soil gas samples. 5.2 Client and/or Third-Party Operations at Site There are no third-party operations taking place in the investigation area. 5.3 Scope of Work The scope of work includes tasks to investigate 7 sites and prepare a remedial action plan for implementation of the cleanup phase for the DTSC Cleanup in Vulnerable Communities Discovery and Enforcement program.The tasks that will be performed are listed below.AECOM will conduct Phase II investigations in contingent to the findings of the Phase I for each site. The field discovery investigation will consist of the collection of soil gas, sub-slab soil gas, indoor air, and ambient air, samples to assess environmental conditions at these Sites. If site conditions warrant the collection of groundwater samples,the sampling will be conducted concurrently with the soil gas survey. Subcontractors will be selected for conducting the soil gas survey and for collecting groundwater samples.AECOM will be responsible for utility clearance and obtaining any required agency permits prior to initiating the subsurface investigation. Soil gas and groundwater samples will be analyzed by Eurofins Air Toxics Laboratory, a State-certified laboratory in Folsom, CA. A Task Hazard Assessment(THA)for each operation being performed by AECOM and each operation performed by an AECOM subcontractor working under the AECOM HASP must be included in Attachment A, while those performed by the managed subcontractors should be prepared by the subcontractor.
