Field sampling sheets and chain-of-custody forms. <br /> Drilling equipment will be provided by the subcontractor, which may include(but is not limited to)the following: hand <br /> auger, direct-push technology or HSA drill rig, drive sampler, extension rods, and stainless-steel sample tubes. <br /> 3.2.6 Sample Analysis <br /> USEPA-approved analytical methods will be used to produce definitive-level data for use in the quantitative risk <br /> assessment. Screening-level data will be obtained from sub-slab vapor samples, soil vapor samples, indoor and <br /> outdoor ambient air samples, and, if encountered,from groundwater samples. <br /> Groundwater samples will be collected via grab groundwater collection. Groundwater sample analytical results will be <br /> considered screening-level data due to the method of sample collection, even though USEPA-approved analytical <br /> methods will be used. <br /> Soil vapor samples will be collected via permanent soil vapor and sub-slab vapor pins.The selected subcontractor <br /> will perform active soil vapor sampling, and all samples will be analyzed at the selected laboratory. The SOP for <br /> active soil vapor investigations is presented in the Programmatic QAPP. <br /> Off-site soil vapor, sub-slab vapor, and indoor air analytical services will be provided by a laboratory that is accredited <br /> by the ELAP. The selected laboratory is Eurofins Air Toxics, Inc. in Folsom, California.The selected laboratory for <br /> groundwater samples is Eurofins CalScience of Tustin, California. The laboratory QA manual and SOPS are <br /> presented in Appendix D of the Programmatic QAPP.The laboratories will be instructed to report estimated values, <br /> i.e., between the MDL and reporting limit, with a"J"qualifier. <br /> The following analytical methods will be used for the samples collected in this Discovery Investigation. Full analyte <br /> lists and laboratory reporting limits are presented in the Programmatic QAPP. <br /> Analytical Method I Parameters <br /> Soil Vapor and Sub-Slab Vapor Samples <br /> USEPA Method TO-15 Target VOCs plus oxygenate compounds <br /> Indoor and Outdoor Ambient Air Samples <br /> USEPA Method TO-15 SIM Target VOCs plus oxygenate compounds <br /> Groundwater Samples <br /> USEPA Method 8260B VOCs(including oxygenate compounds) <br /> 3.2.6.1 Analyses of Soil Vapor Samples <br /> Soil vapor samples can be either analyzed with USEPA Method TO-15 SIM or Method 8260, modified for air analysis <br /> as indicated in DTSC's Soil Gas Advisory(DTSC 2015b). USEPA Method TO-15 SIM analysis should be NELAP- <br /> certified, and USEPA Method 8260 should be laboratory certified for soil and water. The laboratory protocols for <br /> USEPA Method 8260 and USEPA Method TO-15 SIM should follow the recommendations in Appendix F of DTSC's <br /> Soil Gas Advisory(DTSC 2015b)and the guidelines in USEPA Method SW-846.The soil vapor samples should be <br /> analyzed for the full suite of analytes including, but not limited to, BTEX, naphthalene,freons, PCE,TCE, and their <br /> breakdown products.Analytical reporting limits will meet appropriate and applicable risk-based screening levels for <br /> each analyte reported. <br /> Prepared for: California Department of Toxic Substances Control AECOM <br /> 20 <br />
