2. Brush the entire surface of the equipment in the detergent solution. <br /> 3. Double-rinse the equipment in the remaining buckets. <br /> 4. Allow the equipment to drain and air-dry, if time permits. <br /> 5. For drilling rods that cannot thoroughly or efficiently be decontaminated in a 5- <br /> gallon bucket,a portable steam cleaner and water trailer for collecting waste water <br /> will be provided by the subcontractor. Decontamination water will be collected <br /> in a DOT-approved drum and disposed of by a certified waste handler as described <br /> in Section 6 of this SOP. <br /> 6. Equipment blanks will be collected after equipment decontamination. All sample <br /> containers will be clearly labeled, securely sealed, placed in sample coolers and <br /> preserved on ice at approximately 4°C (+/-2°C). Samples will be delivered to a <br /> laboratory under standard COC protocol. Additional details regarding sample <br /> collection are included in the QAPP. <br /> 14 <br />
