Groundwater Data Gaps Site Investigation <br /> 8 March 2019 <br /> Page 5 <br /> • GGW-15 and GGW-16 will be collected and analyzed for VOCs to evaluate the vertical <br /> extent of VOCs in the Landfill Area(Data Gap 12). <br /> • GGW-17 will be collected and analyzed for VOCs to evaluate the lateral and vertical extent <br /> of VOCs in the Landfill Area where vinyl chloride concentrations exceeded the MCL <br /> between the central and southern Landfill Area(Data Gap 11). <br /> • GGW-18 will be collected and analyzed for VOCs to determine the presence of VOCs in <br /> groundwater in the northern Landfill Area(Data Gap 13). <br /> • GGW-19 though GGW-24 will be collected and analyzed for VOCs to determine the extent <br /> of VOCs in groundwater in the Landfill Area(Data Gap 14). <br /> Additional groundwater monitoring wells to be sampled are shown in Table 2 and Figures 3 and 6. <br /> • W-052, W-075, and W-077 will be sampled for dioxins to determine if dioxins are present <br /> in groundwater at Site 3 (Data Gap 15). <br /> • W-167 and W-169 will be sampled for dioxins and furans to determine if dioxins and furans <br /> are present in groundwater at IAS-03/04 (Data Gap 16). <br /> • W-031 will be sampled for dioxins to determine if dioxins are present in groundwater at <br /> IAS-13 (Data Gap 17). <br /> LABORATORY ANALYSIS <br /> The groundwater, quality assurance/quality controls (QA/QC), and investigation-derived waste <br /> (IDW) samples will be analyzed by TestAmerica Laboratories, Inc. of West Sacramento, <br /> California (TestAmerica), a California-certified laboratory. The QAPP in Appendix H of the <br /> GWMP provides the reporting and method detection limits for specific analytes. Groundwater <br /> samples will be analyzed by the following methods in accordance with the proposed sampling plan <br /> (Table 1 and 2): <br /> • VOCs by United States Environmental Protection Agency (U.S. EPA) method 826013. <br /> • Dioxins/furans by U.S. EPA Method 1613 / SW 8280/8290. <br /> SCHEDULE AND REPORTING <br /> Pre-field activities will begin upon written approval by DTSC and RWQCB of scope of work <br /> described in this memorandum.
