Geosyntec D <br /> consultants <br /> • Landfill Area connection or lack thereof of the VOC groundwater plume observed <br /> in the southern landfill area and the central landfill area. <br /> • Landfill Area vertical extent of VOCs in groundwater. <br /> After collection and analysis of the third quarter 2018 groundwater samples the EVS® <br /> model will be updated and the data gaps will be re-evaluated based on the 2018 results. <br /> Grab-groundwater samples are proposed to be collected to address the data gaps that are <br /> identified.Tentative locations and depths for the grab-groundwater samples based on the <br /> current EVS®model are shown in Figures 26 to 30 and described in Table 9.A technical <br /> memorandum with updated figures and tables of the proposed locations and depths of the <br /> grab-groundwater samples based on the 2018 results will be provided to DTSC and <br /> RWQCB and the grab-groundwater samples will be collected following DTSC and <br /> RWQCB approval. <br /> Based on the results of grab-groundwater sampling, permanent well installations may be <br /> proposed for future groundwater monitoring, and/or additional grab-groundwater sample <br /> locations may be proposed.The grab-groundwater results and proposed locations for new <br /> monitoring wells and/or additional grab-groundwater samples will be provided to DTSC <br /> and the RWQCB in a technical memorandum for review and approval. The new <br /> groundwater monitoring wells if determined to be necessary will be installed following <br /> DTSC and RWQCB approval of the proposed well locations and construction details. <br /> 6.3.1 Grab-Groundwater Sampling <br /> The grab-groundwater sampling activities will be conducted in accordance with the SOP <br /> in Appendix J. <br /> 6.3.1.1 Pre-Field Activities <br /> Prior to the start of field activities, Geosyntec will perform the following: <br /> • Geosyntec will contact Underground Service Alert(USA)a minimum of 48 hours <br /> prior to commencement of drilling activities.Additionally,a private utility locator <br /> will perform a geophysical survey in each area to identify potential utilities, <br /> pipelines, or other subsurface obstructions; <br /> • Geosyntec will obtain drilling permits from the San Joaquin County <br /> Environmental Health Department(SJCEHD); and <br /> RRI Groundwater Monitoring Work Plan 28 1 June 2018 <br />
