Programmatic Sampling and Analysis Plan Project Number:60657245
3. Sampling Design and Rationale
The following is a description of the rationale for collection and analysis of soil and water samples.
The proposed sampling locations for surface and subsurface soil, influent, effluent, groundwater,
and/or stormwater as identified as where PFAS may be currently and/or may have been
historically released.
Soil Sampling
Soil samples will be analyzed for PFAS as noted in Section 4.1.
Groundwater Sampling
Groundwater samples will be analyzed for PFAS, general chemistry, and metals as noted in
Section 4.1.
Stormwater Water Sampling
Stormwater samples will be analyzed for PFAS, general chemistry, and metals as noted in
Section 4.1.
3.4 Wastewater Sampling
Influent Sampling
Influent sampling will be required at facilities with an onsite wastewater treatment plan. Influent
samples will be collected from location prior to any treatment and representative of all wastewater
associated with the facility's industrial discharge.
Two influent samples will be collected; one sample representing the facility's un-treated
wastewater and one sample representing the stormwater commingled with the untreated
wastewater (if applicable).
Effluent Sampling
Effluent sampling will be required at facilities with an onsite wastewater treatment plant. Effluent
sample locations must represent the treated wastewater associated with the facility's industrial
activities.
Wastewater samples will be analyzed for PFAS, general chemistry, and metals as noted in
Section 4.1.
AECOM
10
