<br />SECOR International Incorporated (SECOR),-on behalf of Chevron Products Company
<br />(Chevron), presents operating data for the groundwater extraction (GWE) system at the
<br />site referenced above (Figures 1 and 2) Chevron discharges treated groundwater at the
<br />subject site under City of Lodi Wastewater Discharge Permit #295
<br />Extraction and treatment of groundwater was initiated on July 3, 2000 The GWE
<br />system extracts groundwater from site wells EX -1, MW-14/EX-2, and EX -3 Extracted
<br />groundwater is routed through a particulate filter, then three 2,000 -pound liquid phase
<br />activated carbon vessels (A, B, and C) plumbed in series A treatment system schematic
<br />is shown on Figure 3
<br />Summary of GWE System Operation
<br />Samples were collected from the influent port, nudpoint 1 (between carbon vessels A
<br />and B), midpoint 2 (between carbon vessels B and C), and the effluent port on April 4,
<br />11, 18, and 25, 2001 During these sampling events, total petroleum hydrocarbons as
<br />gasoline (TPHg), benzene, toluene, xylenes (BTEX compounds), di -isopropyl ether
<br />(D1PE), were not detected in influent, midpoint 1 (mid -1), midpoint 2 (mid -2), or
<br />effluent samples
<br />Maximum influent concentrations of methyl tertiary butyl ether (MtBE), tertiary butyl
<br />alcohol (TBA), ethyl tertiary butyl ether (EtBE), and tertiary amyl methyl ether (TAME)
<br />were reported as 2,200 ugll (Apn14, 2001), 50 ugll (April 4, 2001), 88 ugll (Apn14,
<br />2001), and 20 ug/l (April 4, 2001), respectively MtBE, Methanol and ethanol were
<br />reported in mid -1 at maximum concentrations of 0 82 ugll (April 25, 2001), 64 ugll
