Service Company <br /> 500 South Beckman Road <br /> San Joaquin County, Lodi, California <br /> 1 Dear Mr. Frater: <br /> ' Clayton Group Services (Clayton) is pleased to present this workplan for environmental <br /> services for the R.E. Service Company(RES) facility located at 500 South Beckman <br /> Road, in Lodi, California. This workplan has been prepared in accordance with the San <br /> ' Joaquin County Public Health Services permitting requirements for a site investigation. <br /> In preparing this workplan, Clayton has reviewed several reports, including a 2003 Phase <br /> I report by AEI Consultants and two previous Phase I reports prepared by Clayton. <br /> Based on the information available to date, Clayton has developed a scope of work to <br /> perform a site investigation to evaluate whether past operations have impacted the <br /> ' subsurface. <br /> ' SITE BACKGROUND <br /> The subject property is located in an industrial portion of Lodi, California at an address <br /> ' currently known as 500 South Beckman Road. The Assessors Parcel Number is 049-250- <br /> 81 and according to the tax records the parcel is 5.29 acres in area. One large single story <br /> manufacturing building that totals approximately 99,000 square feet is located on the <br /> ' subject property. The subject property was previously known as 400 South Beckman <br /> Road and was 7.22 acres in area prior to a parcel split. <br /> ' The subject property was reportedly used as agricultural land for vineyards or was vacant <br /> until 1987 when Minton Lumber Company constructed the current manufacturing <br /> ' building.
