Emcon <br /> =� 1433 North Market BWevard •Sacramento California 95834-1943 • (916)928-3300• Fox(916)928-3341 <br /> January 3, 1995 <br /> Project 2520-100 01 <br /> Mr Jerry Moore <br /> Moore Petroleum, Inc <br /> P O Box 67 <br /> Banta, California 95304 <br /> Re Fourth Quarter 1994 Groundwater Monitoring Report, Frank's Exxon No 4, <br /> 14800 West Frontage Road Manteca, California, Federated Claim No 83Z-159 <br /> Dear Mr Moore <br /> This letter report presents the results of the fourth quarter 1994 groundwater monitoring event <br /> for the Frank's Exxon No 4 service station, located at 14800 West Frontage Road, Manteca, <br /> California (see Figure 1) Groundwater sanding for the fourth quarter 1994 monitoring event <br /> was conducted on November 14, 1994, by EMCON consistent with the sampling and analysis <br /> procedures described in Attachment A <br /> BACKGROUND <br /> The project site is located on the west side of State Highway 99, on the northern outskirts of <br /> Manteca, Califorrua, in a commercial/agricultural area Frank's Exxon No 4 15 an active <br /> ,,ervice station Aegis Environmental(Aegis), now known as Fugro West, Inc began quarterly <br /> groundwater monitoring at the site in January 1991 EMCON assumed quarterly monitoring <br /> activities in March 1994 <br /> Earth Treatment Systems, Inc , installed two groundwater monitoring wells (MW-1 and <br /> MW-2) at the site in August 1988 Low concentrations of petroleum hydrocarbons were <br /> detected in both groundwater and soil samples collected from MW-I and MW-2 Delta <br /> Environmental Consultants, Inc , (Delta) installed wells MW-3 and MW-4 in April and May of <br /> 1989 Low to moderate concentrations of petroleum hydrocarbons were detected in soil and <br /> groundwater samples collected from MW-3 and MW-4 Three 10,000-gallon underground fuel <br /> storage tanks were removed from the site in November 1989 Petroleum hydrocarbons were <br /> detected in soil samples collected from beneath the underground storage tanks and product <br /> lines Groundwater monitoring wells MW-5 through MW-8 were installed by Delta in <br /> November and December 1989, and well MW-9 was installed by Aegis in November 1991 <br /> SA(-\N\PiZ�252025201000 l(AS-94\pas 1 <br />
