GENESIS ENGINEERING&REDEVELOPMENT
Ms. Amy Terrell
August 21, 2006
Page 6
Task 4- Surveying
The location and elevation of the new monitoring wells will be surveyed by a state-licensed
surveyor. Vertical control will be relative to a United States Coast&Geodetic Survey
(USCCGS) or U. S. Geological Survey marker. Well and boring elevations will be recorded to
within 0.01 foot. Horizontal locations will be referenced to the State Plane Coordinate System.
The horizontal grid coordinates of each monitoring well will be recorded to within 0.1 foot.
Task 5—Waste Disposal
Soil and water generated during the installation,development, and sampling of the monitoring
wells will be placed in Department of Transportation approved 55-gallon drums or roll-off
storage bins and temporarily stored near each well. A licensed waste disposal contractor will
properly manage,transport, and dispose of all wastes. A representative of Ripon Farm Services
will sign all waste manifests and shipping documents.
Task 6—Site Investigation Report
A report summarizing the results of the work activities associated with this Work Plan will be
prepared. The report will include tables,maps, figures, and appendices summarizing the data
collected during the field activities. The report will include an interpretation of groundwater
flow direction in the shallow and deeper saturated intervals, and will discuss the delineation and
characterization of impacts to groundwater at and in the vicinity of the Site.
SCHEDULE
The following is a tentative schedule for completing the work included in this Work Plan:
1. Following receipt of an authorization to proceed, pre-field activities will be completed
within approximately 2 weeks;
2. Field activities will be scheduled for the earliest possible dates, with monitoring well
installations expected to be completed in approximately 2 weeks from the start date;
3. Development and sampling of the wells will be completed within approximately 2 weeks
following installation of the wells; and
