4. During non-working hours,all holes shall be plated or filled until final paving. <br /> 5. Traffic lanes shall be a minimum of 10-feet wide unless otherwise authorized. <br /> 6. Advance warning signs shall be 48-inch by 48-inch. <br /> 7. This plan does not apply where emergency conditions exist.Under emergency <br /> conditions,equipment and personnel that are available should be used to implement a <br /> closure,even though such closure foes not meet the standards contained in this plan.As <br /> equipment or personnel become available,an immediate effort should then be made to <br /> implement the standards of this plan. <br /> Basic Safety Tenents <br /> 1. Minimize road encroachment. <br /> 2. Use a cone spacing of 10-feet in the taper area and 10-20-feet as appropriate in the work <br /> area. <br /> 3. If at any time the construction supervisor assesses that the use of flagmen would increase <br /> worker safety,flagmen will be used with the appropriate signage,in accordance with TA <br /> 10. <br />
