SECTION 02140 — CONTROL OF GROUNDWATER AND SURFACE WATER <br /> PART 1 — GENERAL <br /> 1.01 SCOPE <br /> Contractor shall provide the following services for control of groundwater, surface water and <br /> excavation drainage. <br /> A. Dewatering, depressurizing, and draining to maintain trench, structure, and <br /> embankment excavations and foundation beds in a dry and stable condition, and <br /> controlling groundwater conditions for excavation work. <br /> B. Protection of the work against surface runoff, exfiltration from existing pipes and <br /> structures, and rising flood waters. <br /> C. Collection, treatment, and disposal of removed water to the City stormwater <br /> system for all portions of the project south of 1-205. <br /> 1.02 REFERENCES <br /> This section contains references to the following documents.
